Should you get a unitkitout? A broke Malaysian student point of view

Image
Just my opinion. I did not order from UniKitOut. I merely got some stuff free from The Loom because I used some early bird voucher. But I highly suspect that the stuffs are also from UniKitOut because my housemate who ordered UniKitOut got the exact same stuff as me but more in quantity.  So they gave me free bedding and kitchen stuff. I am not complaining here, but just wanted to help some students who are deciding on whether to get the UniKitout or not. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture but check out my YouTube video review of the room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TufeCxAlsF8 WOULD I BUY THE UNIKITOUT ? My answer is NO. Because you can get everything in DEALZ , Lidl, and Dunnes for a fraction of the price and better quality. Only downside is you have to shop for it yourself. But if you have difficulty travelling and going out to buy stuff, then get it.  At most, I will just get the bedding stuff. I understand it is hard to buy pillows and duvet from the city and the...

Tips and Tricks for a newbie Malaysian student in Dublin (Economy version)

Hey Guys, I will just list some things that you should really do when or even before you arrive in Dublin.  1. Ask your university for a letter stating your address if you don't have a utility bill. You will definitely need one when you try to open a bank account.  I stay in student sharing hostel, and I used a letter from them. However, it got rejected . 2. Get a mobile number as soon as you land. Make sure that they register your name and passport/ID.  I MADE A MISTAKE.  I bought a sim from the terminal 1 at the airport,  I did not realise that she did not ask for any identification and it didn't come in the fancy first time sim packaging. But I was exhausted, and I did not realise something was wrong. Anyway, I did the top up and all, and I tried to register my name with the phone company and I realised it was registered under someone's name. I did not lose money.  I still manage to use the top up for a full month.  The problem is because I ha...

Hello everyone When I was studying in Dublin, I chose to stay in The Loom, Aparto as they are new and near to my university. I will try to make a detailed review of the rooms and amenities for everyone.  If you have any questions please comment it on my youtube video. I am more active on youtube than Blogger  https://youtu.be/TufeCxAlsF8 The Gym  1. In 2021, due to Covid restrictions you will need to book your slot. As of now, I am not sure how to do that because the management is still setting up the booking system.  The Laundry Room 1. There is an app where you can top up money and just scan the QR code on the machine to start washing your clothes 2. Buy your own laundry detergent. Don't bother buying fabric softener. (I almost bought a 3L fabric softener and thank God I took a trip to the laundry room and had a look at the rules)  3. I think it is 3.60 euros for wash and 1.70 euro for drying.  The Courtyard view from my room You can walk up and dow...
